Moto X Smartphone Full Specification – We compared the new Motorola Moto X and Moto X Play phones to see which Moto X comes out on top.

The second-gen Moto X was one of my favorite smartphones of 2014, but this year Motorola is doing something different with its flagship Moto X series. The second-gen Moto X (with a few new features) at a more wallet-friendly price.

You can read my in-depth Moto X Play and Moto X Style reviews to get a closer look at what each phone has to offer, but for those who want to get a quick idea of how each compares to the other, I’ve put them together to help you decide which phone is which. you should save for it.

The Best Motorola Phones 2022: Top Moto Smartphones For You

Moto X Play and Moto X Style share the same basic design. Like the second-generation Moto X, both have a curved back that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, with the same metal accent running between the rear camera and Motorola’s notch. Both have a metal frame, but the Moto X Play has a removable back cover, while the Style has a sealed one-piece body.

Of course, the Moto X Style is slightly larger than the Moto X Play to accommodate its larger 5.7-inch screen. Moto X At 153.9mm tall and 76.2mm wide, the Moto X Style is nearly identical to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but due to its curved back, it’s slightly thicker overall, at 6.1mm at its thinnest and 11, 06 mm in the center.

The Moto X Play, on the other hand, is 148mm tall and 75mm wide, with the back shrinking from 10.9mm to 8.9mm. It’s the same size as the LG G4, making it one of the best 5.5-inch phones on the market. This is great for those who want a bigger screen without the bulk of, say, the iPhone 6 Plus, as Motorola’s sparse use of the front means almost no space is wasted, making the screen appear larger than it is.

In reality, however, it doesn’t matter, as both are the same width in the hand. Reaching the top of the Style with one hand is definitely more difficult due to the increased height, but that’s a common problem with most 5.7-inch phones.

However, the edges of the Style are thinner, slightly more angular than the Play, and the Style feels like a better product. For example, the Play’s soft, more rounded corners feel cheap compared to the Style’s harder edges, and the Play’s smooth, rubbery surface doesn’t feel as attractive as the Style’s thin sticks. Still, there’s a lot to like about both phones, and both are good in day-to-day use.

Style and performance can also be customized using Motorola’s customization service, which lets you add different colored bezels and metal accents to make it your own. With Style, you can even add leather and soft wood for the back, along with a variety of other colors. The Moto X Style will have 18 different backs to choose from, while the Moto X Play will have 14 different backs.

However, the core design of the Moto X Style has a unique silicone rubber coating that is specially designed to resist paint damage, which will hopefully make your smartphone look better in the long run. The Moto X Play, on the other hand, has a simpler back that you can customize with different colored cases and flip cases.

As mentioned above, the Moto X Style has a 5.7-inch display while the Moto X Play has a 5.5-inch display. However, the Moto X Style has a higher resolution of 2560×1440, giving it a higher pixel density of 515ppi – the same as the Note 4. The Moto X Play, on the other hand, only has 1920×1080, giving it a lower pixel density of 400. per inch.

In terms of clarity, you can’t really tell the difference with the two phones side-by-side, as text and app icons look equally good on both phones. However, now that I’ve had a chance to test both phones in the expert review repair lab, the Google Play screen is even better.

Indeed, the overall color accuracy of the Play is slightly lower than the Style, as our color monitor only showed that it displayed 91% of the sRGB color gamut compared to the Style’s 93% coverage. However, The Play had a higher contrast ratio of 1670:1, a lower black level of 0.36cd/m2 and brighter and purer whites with a peak brightness of 613.23cd/m2.

The Moto X model, on the other hand, reached a peak brightness of 502.07 cd/m2, had a maximum black level of 0.48 cd/m2 and a low contrast ratio of 1045:1. That’s still more than bright enough to see the screen clearly from outside, but it means images aren’t as detailed when you’re looking at them from the side, for example.

However, the yellow and white color scheme ruins the screen for me as it gives everything a very warm color that makes images look blurry and lack clarity compared to the Moto X Play. It’s almost as if the Style has an AMOLED display, as yellow and white are common on this type of panel, but Motorola has since confirmed that both phones use IPS panels, making the Style even more disappointing. So Moto X Play wins this round hands down.

The two phones may look similar on the outside, but the inside is very different. Starting with the Moto X Style, this is Motorola’s first device of 2015. With a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor and 3GB of RAM, web browsing on the Moto X Style was faster and smoother than on the Moto X Play. .

In Peacekeeper, for example, the Style led the way with a score of 1,557, while the Moto X Play, powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM, scored 828. The Style was better at handling complex pages with embedded videos, embedded comments and ads from Play, resulting in smoother scrolling and smoother animations.

The model also topped our Geekbench 3 tests, scoring 3,579 on the multi-core test, compared to 2,567 on the Play. Sure, both phones handle the Android market well, but the Fashion’s apps and menus load faster. the animation is a bit smooth.

Similarly, the Style is better suited for gaming, as evidenced by its impressive score of 919 fps (about 15 fps) on the GFX Bench GL outdoor screen test in Manhattan. On the other hand, the Play can’t manage 361 frames (or 5.8 fps), which makes complex games like Hearthstone more of a challenge.

Motorola Moto X Style Review

Each phone has a 21-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera, but Motorola gave the Moto X Cinema the biggest improvements over the Moto X Play. Motorola says the Style has the best camera ever, for example, and that phase-detection autofocus, feedback processing, and a dual-tone flash should help it take faster, more accurate photos than its Google Play sibling. It can also record Full HD video at 60 fps and 4K video at 30 fps with and without HDR.

The Moto X Play, on the other hand, only has a dual-color LED flash and can’t shoot 4K video. It does, however, use Night Style mode, along with auto HDR, panorama and burst modes, and slow-motion video.

In our camera tests, both phones took very good pictures. Inside the house, the colors were beautiful, there was plenty of contrast and the level of detail was high. However, Google Play images were a bit noisier than the Moto X Style, and the white background of our still life looked sharp compared to the Style’s soft shadows. However, this meant that the model sometimes lost fine detail, as cracks in the bowl and cracks in the sculpt were not as pronounced as the same areas in the Play photos.

A stylistic adjustment has also been made to the external images, eliminating noise in large areas of the Moto X Play. However, while indoor shots suffered from a lack of detail in the style, outdoor shots looked sharper and less colorful than what I took on the Play. The details of the building have become clearer and more pronounced, and the brickwork is less blurry.
