Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini 16gb Smartphone Specifications – One of Samsung’s tricks is to take a successful phone and print it in different sizes. For example, the Galaxy S4, Samsung’s latest smartphone, now has four features: the original 5-inch screen; a smaller version, the 4.3-inch Galaxy S4 mini; Galaxy S4 Zoom, combination camera/handheld; and the Galaxy S4 Active, which adds ruggedness to the mix.
The £480 Samsung Galaxy S4 Active bears no resemblance to the original S4. The chassis has been adapted to comply with the protection index IP67 (Ingress protection): “6” indicates that it is “dust”, while “7” means that it can withstand the penetration of 1 m of water for 30 minutes. Samsung had to remove the signature home button below the screen and opt for three physical buttons instead.

The Galaxy S4 Active isn’t a sealed unit, so there’s a protective plastic in the back plate, where you’ll find the SIM and microSD slots. You still need to be careful with water and make sure the back plate is firmly in place – sealed phones like Sony’s rugged Xperia Z offer better protection against water.

The microUSB port on the bottom of the chassis has a plastic cover to protect it from the elements, but the headphone jack on the top of the phone doesn’t look protected (it’s plugged in). The side buttons – volume on the left, power on the right – also look normal, although they also need to be rated to meet the IP67 rating.
The S4 Active has a 5-inch TFT display instead of the S4’s original AMOLED display. The primary rear camera is an 8-megapixel unit, while the S4 has a 13-megapixel camera.
Like the original, the Galaxy S4 Active has a 5-inch, 1,920 by 1,080 pixel size, but the panel in this case is TFT LCD rather than Super AMOLED, resulting in a difference between the dynamics of the two displays.
The primary rear camera is an 8-megapixel unit compared to the original S4’s 13-megapixel. It’s complemented by an “aqua mode” that enhances colors when shooting underwater, and a volume dial that doubles as a shutter control. This is important if you’re planning on taking underwater photos, as the response of the screen, like all capacitive screens, is very low when water is involved.
Samsung Announces Galaxy S4 Mini For Us, Releasing In November
The S4 Active’s engine room is the same as the original S4: Android 4.2, a quad-core 1.9GHz processor, and 16GB of internal storage (with about 11GB out of the box).
All Samsung software improvements for the Galaxy S4 are included in the S4 Active. So you can be sure that the videos will stop when you move away from the screen, the image information will appear when you run your finger across the screen, different things will happen when you tilt the phone – and if you can get the video to work ( you can’t), you can even browse web pages at a glance.
Samsung also adds standard Android add-on apps, often duplicating the functionality that comes with the operating system. It can be confusing at first.
Samsung could even be accused of abusing many “touch-sensitive visual” features and many voice programs, but the current popularity of its smartphones means it must be doing something right. Fortunately, Samsung also allows you to enable or disable all the extra features as you wish.

The Galaxy S4 Active is not just a standard version of the Galaxy S4 in a reinforced chassis, because there are significant differences in specifications. But most of the Galaxy S4’s popular features are there, and if your work or personal life is subject to tough conditions, this could be the phone for you. The microSD card slot and removable battery are the two biggest selling points people make for the Galaxy S4 over the HTC One. However, only the 16GB S4 is currently available in the US and has less than 10GB of apps.
I have to remove large games (they can be from 1GB to 1.5GB each) from Galaxy Note II due to internal memory limitation and Android can move or install apps to microSD without root. The same problem starts when new owners of a Galaxy S IV discover that their 16GB model has less than 10GB of apps.
In today’s modern world, Android manufacturers shouldn’t release high-end devices under 32GB, and the S4’s microSD debate with the HTC One may not be as big of a deal as many make it out to be.
Out of the box, you can only install apps on Android devices to store them internally, and for high-end games and very advanced apps that use a lot of memory, I think it’s a problem when your application usage choices must create based on memory constraints. MicroSD expansion is great for those who store movies, music and photos on their device, but with the widespread use of cloud and streaming solutions, the need for large external storage has been reduced.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Features 16mp Camera With 4k Video: Digital Photography Review
I have a 64GB microSD card in my Note II as I was thinking about using it as much as possible. I actually have a few GB because I tend to rent movies from Google Play (I need temporary storage) and stream my music using Songza, Slacker Radio or other services. So I don’t really have a lot of memory requirements, and that’s coming from someone who uses their cell phone quite a bit.
The HTC One comes in 32GB and 64GB (AT&T and Developer Edition unlocked), which is the internal storage capacity that all Android devices should support. There may be cheaper 16GB models out there, but the flagship isn’t expected to launch with just 16GB of internal storage. This is especially true when a large portion of 16 GB is used for system software, including apps that cannot be uninstalled.
I don’t think the external storage argument makes much sense in today’s modern world, especially given the limitations of external storage. Apple has never had external storage support for the iPhone, high-end Windows Phone devices have no external storage support, and the Nexus line does not support external storage.
I’d rather choose my smartphone based on its design, features, and actual utility, rather than just looking at details like external storage that don’t mean much to actual use. It may not have the styling of the HTC One Mini or the touchless controls of the Droid Mini, but Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Mini is a modern contender with Android 4.2 available from many companies.

Start with the Samsung Galaxy S4, resize it and then replace the internal components. That is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini in a nutshell. And for some mobile phone users, that’s a good thing.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini offers a solid feature set for a mid-range phone, including Android 4.2, a dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera. The Sprint version has excellent call quality.

Due to its reliable features and the availability of four companies, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is an easy buy in the middle, but you also have to compare the S4 Mini with its hefty competition.
While smaller and lighter than the S4, with all details reduced, the Mini is no slouch. The 4.3-inch qHD display, Android 4.2 operating system, 8-megapixel camera, and dual-core processor have attracted AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and US Cellular enough to be committed to the smaller brother S4. There’s also something reliable that comes with Samsung’s cookie-cutter version of Android, which isn’t adorned with extra software like the flagship Galaxy S4, but retains many of its features and even includes an IR blaster to control your TV.
However, the processor feels sluggish at times, the internal storage is limited to 8GB (although you can expand it to an additional 64GB), and the front camera takes grainy photos and videos.

If other carriers follow Sprint’s pricing — $99 with a new two-year contract (or free, during a limited promotion, if you switch from another carrier) — the S4 Mini is a safe bet for anyone. – an Android deal. However, he is by no means alone in the “Mini” field. (For a comparison of the GS4 Mini and other “Mini” phones, see the conclusion.)

With its 4.3-inch screen and dimensions of 4.9 x 2.4 x 0.4 inches, the S4 Mini is a bit of a misnomer. It’s an estimate
